Rob Schulz is a visual storyteller who shares small moments that tell big stories. 

Photography and short-form documentary film are the conduits through which he explores his sense of wonder.  He relies on warmth, patience, and curiosity to find the authentic and meaningful story stacked behind the facade.  Rob wants his audience and subject to have a similar experience in his work.  An experience of trust, value, and connection.

Rob is interested in finding universally shared stories and drawing out the personal uniqueness hidden within the experience of the individual.  Through photography and video, he works to illuminate shifting perspectives of the subject and audience. An objective of his process is to help guide a person or subject matter toward a greater sense of value and understanding in the eyes of the larger community.

Rob’s approach to any project comes from a place of lightheartedness and humor.  He has an uncanny ability to connect with his subjects and tease out the story hidden underneath.

Drawing upon his Professional Certificate in Visual Storytelling from Maine Media Workshops + College and coupling with his years of success as an experiential educator, Rob finds the inspiration to create work that allows the relationship of artist, subject, and audience to be immersed into a story sticky with history, varied perspectives and personally lived experiences.

Rob Schulz, the principle behind Resonant Photography, is available for freelance editorial and commercial assignments and in support of experiential education and cultural event.
